I am in the process of developing an At A Glance Piece on automatic 401(k) plans for small & mid-size employers. The purpose of the piece is to raise awareness of automatic 401(k)in getting employees to participate in the plan.
Keeping in mind that this is a new concept among small and mid-size employers with little research to support the success of automatic 401(k). There is the pension legislation which has outlined the safe harbor provisions to help employers eliminate the need for discrimination testing.
What assessment tools would be helpful for employers to determine whether automatic 401(k) plans is the right choice?
